On the time of its launch in 2006, Fickman admitted to being a bit of disillusioned as a result of “you are so pushed by the field workplace…once we got here out, we have been like, ‘Oh, OK, we did alright.’ I believe once we received the Teen Selection Surfboard for Greatest Comedy, I believe that was a giant second the place we have been all like, ‘That is cool. Folks did see our film!’”
However the “cult following,” he stated, She’s the Man has constructed since its launch has utterly altered his perspective.
“Now I believe I am feeling on reflection what I had wished to really feel once we opened,” Fickman admitted. “Like, ‘Oh, we’re not going to be the most important film ever made? Oh OK.’ However now, new generations are seeing it and each time I work with a brand new technology of actors, youthful actors will come up and say to me, ‘I simply noticed She’s the Man. Dude, that’s humorous!’ I am like, ‘Wow, alright!’”

However, he continued, “Given all due respect, it was about 1602 when Shakespeare wrote Twelfth Evening and that held up fairly effectively. So I determine that if Shakespeare was in a position to survive from the 1600s with our inspiration, surviving 15 years with She’s the Man, we have an extended solution to go!”
